Role of each Executive Member

The President provides overall leadership and strategic direction for the Association, chairs meetings, and represents PRATT in official capacities. The role includes guiding the execution of initiatives aligned with the Association’s objectives, ensuring effective governance, and exercising a casting vote where required in decision-making.

The Vice President supports the President in executing the Association’s mandate and assumes leadership responsibilities in their absence. This role ensures continuity in governance and contributes to strategic planning and the smooth functioning of the Executive Committee.

The Secretary is responsible for the administrative and governance functions of the Association, including maintaining records, managing official correspondence, issuing notices for meetings, and ensuring accurate documentation of proceedings. The role also includes maintaining an up-to-date register of members.

The Treasurer oversees the financial management of the Association, including maintaining accurate financial records, managing income and expenditures, issuing receipts, and ensuring funds are properly handled and reported. This role also supports financial transparency and compliance with approved processes.

The Director of Membership focuses on the growth, engagement, and retention of members. This includes supporting recruitment efforts, enhancing member experience, and ensuring alignment with membership policies and standards set by the Association.

This role is responsible for advancing the skills and knowledge of members through workshops, training sessions, and other learning initiatives. The Director ensures that programmes align with the goal of improving professional standards within the industry.

The Director of Events leads the planning and execution of events, including conferences, seminars, and networking activities. This role ensures that events are aligned with PRATT’s objectives and provide value to members and the wider communications community.

The Director of Digital Communications manages the Association’s online presence and communication channels, ensuring consistent messaging, audience engagement, and visibility of PRATT’s activities across digital platforms.
